Bengre's Ijaz saves lives of two drowning youth
Mangaluru, June 22: A youth from Kasba Bengre here saved the lives of two drowning youth in Tannirbhavi on Friday, June 22.
The car in which students from Kerala were travelling plunged into the river after losing control near Tannirbhavi.
On seeing this Ijaz rushed to the help of drowning youth and without considering his own safety he jumped into the river and saved two young students.
The student has arrived to Tannirbhavi beach in a rented car. It plunged into the river after break fail, police said. Traffic police visited the spot and inspected.
Police and the local people praised Ijaz for saving two lives from drowning.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
