Mangaluru, November 12: City South (Pandeshwara) Police registered a suo motu case against ‘Mangaluru Muslims’ page on charges of publishing a controversial post against the demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar in the social media.
Following the demise of Ananth Kumar, a controversial report was published in the Facebook page named ‘Mangaluru Muslims’ and attracted huge criticism and people expressed their anger. Even the Muslims have also expressed their anger against the low level post in the social media. The post received more than 1500 comments and 335 shares. Many people demanded action against the page admins and those who posted the report. Following this, the Pandeshwara police registered the suo motu case under Section 505(1) and (2) under Information and Technology Act and transferred the case to the concerned authority for more action, police sources said.

Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Residents and visitors across the United Arab Emirates received a fresh emergency alert on their mobile phones stating that the situation in the country is currently safe.
The message, issued by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), thanked people for their cooperation and reassured them that conditions were stable.
“Thank you for your cooperation. We reassure you that the situation is currently safe. You may resume your normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take the necessary precautions, and to follow official instructions. (MOI),” the alert read.
The notification was sent in both Arabic and English through the country’s emergency alert system.
The advisory comes after earlier alerts warning of potential missile threats amid rising regional tensions. Authorities have urged the public to stay cautious and follow official guidance.
