Udupi, May 30 : A cattle trader died in suspicious circumstances at a coffee estate near Perduru in Udupi.

The deceased has been identified as Hussainabba (65), a resident of Jokatte, Mangalore. His body was found in a coffee estate near Perduru in Udupi.

It is reported that when the cops stopped cattle transporters; four people, including Hussainabba, escaped from police eye. Later, Hussainabba's dead body was found on Wednesday morning. The family members have expressed suspicions over his death. It is also suspected that the activists of Sangh Parivar accompanied the police. Clarity about the death case can be obtained only after the autopsy report.

The dead body has been taken to KMC Hospital in Manipal for postmortem, where the relatives and locals have gathered. Meanwhile, police bandobast has been stepped up on the spot.

Hiriyadka police are carrying out the investigation. Udupi SP Lakshman Nibargi visited Hiriyadka police station and investigating the suspicious death case.

New Delhi (PTI): Delhiites woke up to a drizzle and fog on Monday morning with the minimum temperature settling at 8.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

At 8.30 am, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 402, in the 'severe' category, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.

The rain is expected to improve the air quality in the coming hours.

 Humidity level in the city was recorded at 95 per cent at 8.30 am.
 
The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 20 degrees Celsius, the IMD said.
