Charmadi Ghat closed for one month for traffic
Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil on Wednesday ordered closure of Charmadi Ghat for traffic and vehicular movement for one month.
The closure beginning from midnight of August 15 will continue till September 14 due to landslide owing to heavy rain and the repair works that are underway and might take months before completing.
The order of the DC added that traffic will be diverted to Ujire-Dharmasthala-Kokkada-Gundya-Shiradi (NH-75) and Moodigere hand post-Jannapura-Anemahal-Shiradi-Gundya (NH-75) till September 14 or further notice.

CBSE announces results for Class 10 board exams
New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.
"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.
The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
