Chikkamagaluru student's murder case: Accused held
Mangaluru: City police have informed that they have arrested a person in connection with a Chikkamagaluru girl student's murder case, the body of whom was found at paying guest hostel in the City on Friday evening.
The arrested has been identified as Sandeep Rathod, a resident of Sindgi taluk in Vijayapur district. The police informed that they arrested the accused in Sindgi on Saturday morning.
Tharikere Manjunath Y.N's daughter Anjana Vashishta (22) was studying in a college in the City. She was found dead on Friday evening at a Paying Guest hostel near Attavara Medical College.
She was identified based on her Aadhar Card.

3 killed in motorcycle-SUV collision in Jharkhand's Palamu
Medininagar (PTI): Three persons, including two boys, were killed after their motorcycle collided with an SUV in Jharkhand's Palamu district, police said on Friday.
The accident happened near Barwadih in the Patan police station area on Thursday night, they said.
"Two persons died on the spot, while the third person succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment at Medinirai Medical College and Hospital," a police official said.
"We have seized the motorcycle and the SUV. The driver and other occupants of the SUV fled following the accident, leaving their vehicle behind," he added.
