Mangaluru: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa on Monday announced a compensation of Rs. Five lakh to the family of Mangaluru Journalist Nagesh Padu who succumbed to dengue last month.
Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalist Association had request the CM who was visiting the District to survey flood-hit regions in the District, to provide financial support to the family of Nagesh.
Responding immediately to the request CM Yediyurappa announced compensation of Rs. Five lakh to the family.
Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Belthangadi MLA Harish Poonja, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil and others were present on the occasion.

New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.
"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.
The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
