CM Kumaraswamy to visit DK district on Feb 9
Mangaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will visit the district on Saturday. He will reach Dharmasthala from Sringeri by road on Saturday morning and at 11 am, he will participate in the Mahamastakabhisheka Mahotsav-2019 of Bhagwan Bahubali at the Amrutha Varshini auditorium at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and launch various programmes.
He will also inaugurate the first phase of the four-lane road, sign MoU with the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Scheme and the state government on Kere Sanjeevini scheme. At 1.30 pm, he will reach Mangaluru by road and at 3 pm, he will leave for Hubli by flight, according to a press release.

Drone crashes near Erbil airport in northern Iraq, Al Jazeera reports
Erbil: A drone has crashed near Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq, local media reports said, as cited by Al Jazeera.
According to the reports, a large plume of smoke was seen rising from the area where the drone struck. No further details are currently available.
Al Jazeera also reported that its correspondent reported that Erbil airport, located in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, was targeted twice as part of Iran’s response to attacks by Israel and the United States. Local reports cited by the news network added that air defences in Iraq intercepted the drone attacks.
