Mangaluru: Chief Minister Yediyurappa, who visited Mangaluru today in the wake of Thursday's unfortunate incident, called on the family members of the police firing victims at the city's circuit house.

Family members, including Abdul Jaleel's brother, children and another victim Nausheer's brother, who died in police firing, shared their pain with the chief minister. CM consoled that the government is with them.

Apart from a meeting with authorities, the CM held a meeting with leaders from the Muslim Community and Congress party.

Muslim Central Committee Chairman K.S. Muhammed Masood, MLA UT Khader, MLC Ivan D'Souza, Harish Kumar, former MLAs Moidin Bawa and JR Lobo were also present.

Ahmedabad (PTI): Shubman Gill led from the front with a classy 86 as Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets in an Indian Premier League match here on Friday.

Earlier, KKR all-rounder Cameron Green produced a fighting 79 off 55 balls to lift his side to 180 all out. In reply, Gill anchored the chase with a composed 86 off 50 deliveries as GT crossed the line in 19.4 overs.

The win marked GT's third successive victory after opening with two losses, while KKR's search for their first win of the season continues.
