Bhatkal: A special team of Bhatkal district police arrested a student of a prestigious college and filed complaints on several others on the charges of editing Hindu-Muslim classmates' selfie photos so as to present them as Love Jihad cases.
According to the police, cases have been lodged against Yogesh, Tiru, and Hemant. Among them, Yogesh has been arrested.
The miscreants edited and joined images of two students --belonging to backward classes and poor families, with some nude photos and posted on social media.
The edited photos were shared on social media with the title "Muslim students are doing love jihad with Hindu girls studying in this college. Due to which, Hindu religion is in danger."
