Kasaragod: Intense rainfall and thunderstorms, triggered by Cyclone Fengal, have caused damages in parts of Kasaragod district, particularly in Adkatabail. Heavy showers over the past two days have resulted in losses for many residents.
In one incident, the tiled roof of Kishor Kumar’s house in Adkatabail completely collapsed early Wednesday morning at around 6 a.m. Kishor Kumar and his wife, Shashikala, managed to escape unhurt by rushing out of the house just in time. However, the roof suffered extensive damage, leaving the family in distress.
The ongoing thunderstorms have led to widespread reports of property damage across the district, adding to the challenges faced by residents.

Kalaburagi: A man was found dead, with his body seen hanging, in his own field in Hulasaguda village of Kalagi taluk on Saturday morning. The cause for death is unknown as yet.
The deceased, identified as Revanasiddhappa Shettappa (26), is learned to have been a resident of Hulasaguda village.
Ratkal Police Sub-inspector Sheela Devi reportedly visited the spot where the man’s body was found and inspected it.
Police have registered a case in this regard and are probing the death of the Shettappa.
