Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan issued an order declaring holiday for schools and PU colleges on December 3.

This comes in the wake of a heavy rain forecast and an orange alert warning, owing to Cyclone Fengal issued by the Indian Meteorological Department on Monday.

According to the order, all Anganwadi centers, Government, Aided and Private Primary & High Schools, Pre-University Colleges (up to Class 12) will remain closed on Tuesday, December 3.

Mangaluru: Due to the heavy rainfall forecast across the Dakshina Kannada district in connection with Cyclone Fengal, all madrasas will remain closed on Tuesday, December 3. The decision was announced by the All India Education Board and the D.K. District SKJM and Madrasa Management.

In addition, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan has also declared a holiday for all Anganwadis, government, aided, and private primary schools, high schools, and pre-university colleges in the district on Tuesday.

The precautionary measures come as widespread rains, linked to the cyclone, are expected to affect the region.
