Sullia: In an incident reported from Duggaladka in Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, the health workers erred and jabbed two doses of COVID-19 vaccine to a youngster on the same day.
The incident was reported from a vaccination drive that was being held at Duggaladka High School here in the village.

The youngster identified as KB Arun came to get his first dose of vaccination at the Duggaladka High School where the vaccination drive was underway. After getting his first dose, Arun reportedly stayed back at the vaccination center hoping to get tablets if he gets a fever after taking the vaccine.
The health worker reportedly jabbed Arun with another dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Shocked by the development, the family members of Arun were furious against the health workers for their negligence. Taluk Health Officer Dr. Nanda Kumar then telephoned the family and took stock of the matter and urged them not to panic. He advised Arun to eat healthy food and not worry about the incident.

New Delhi (PTI): A wanted criminal carrying a Rs 15,000 reward was arrested following a brief exchange of fire near southeast Delhi's Amar Colony, police said on Tuesday.
According to the police, information was received that Mohammad Rizwan, who is wanted by Uttar Pradesh Police, was in Amar Colony area, and a trap was laid to intercept him.
However, when the police team attempted to apprehend Rizwan, he opened fire in a desperate bid to escape.
The team retaliated and Rizwan sustained a bullet injury in his right leg, and was subsequently overpowered by the police team, a senior officer said.
He was immediately taken into custody and provided medical assistance.
Police said Rizwan had come to Delhi with the intention of committing a crime, but was apprehended before he could execute his plan.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions, and further investigation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other criminal cases, the officer said.
