Mangaluru: On account of the dastardly terror attack by Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed, on CRPF convoy on Thursday 14 Feb, several masjids in the Dakshina Kannada District District on Friday made special mention against the attack and condemn it.

The minarets from across the district sent out the message clear and aloud to terrorists that the nation, irrespective of religion, caste and communities, stand united against the dastardly and attack and condemns it.

Moulana Mohammed Kunhi of Masjidul Huda in Thokottu, during his sermon added that it is over duty to stand against such evil acts and called for unity among the citizens of the country in standing against it.

“This is our country, and those who died, died for us, we should not let anybody take political mileage from the attack instead we all should stand united and stand with the families of those martyred” he said.

Moulana Shoaib of Kutchi Memon Masjid, said “Islam forbids from killing anyone, and those who were involved in the act, we should not link them with any religion. We should all stand against the killings of our warriors in this case”.

At Masjid-e-Noor, Moulana Nafsal cited a verse from Holy Quran that reads “Whoever kills one human being, it is as if he murdered the whole of humanity” therefore termed the act as shameful and unforgiveable.

Moulana Yahya Thangal Madani of Masjid-e-Hawwa, also condemned the act and added that the Muslim community is united in condemning and standing against the attack and attackers.

Reports of similar Friday sermons, condemning the Pulwama terrorist attack, came in from different parts of the district and neighboring districts.

Tehran: Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency is reporting that several close family members of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have been killed in the recent joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.

According to Fars, the supreme leader’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson were killed in the attacks. The agency, which is aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), cited sources close to Tehran’s leadership for the information.

This report follows wide-ranging claims and counter-claims about the impact of the strikes on Iran’s top leadership. Israeli and US officials have suggested that Khamenei himself was killed, though Tehran has repeatedly denied those claims and described them as psychological warfare.

There has been no official confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding the deaths of Khamenei’s family members, and independent verification of the reports is still lacking.
