Uppinangady: A case has been registered at the Uppinangady police station about the alleged gang-rape of a Dalit woman.
The woman, a native of Bettampady, has filed a complaint with Uppinangady police station.
According to the plaint, one Dhananjay, who came in her contact via phone, along with his friend, took her to an abandoned house on the pretext of going to Jatra and raped her on Thursday night. Later the duo left her at Uppinagangdy bus stand at 1 a.m and fled away.
Uppinangady police have registered the case, and search is on for the accused.
