Dasara holidays from Sep 26 in Dakshina Kannada: Minister B C Nagesh
Mangaluru(PTI): Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B C Nagesh has issued an order directing educational institutions to declare Dasara holidays from September 26 to October 10 in Dakshina Kannada district.
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath had requested the minister to announce Dasara holidays in accordance with the annual festival being conducted on a large scale in the city.
However, in Udupi district, holidays will be given according to the 2022-23 academic calendar of school education and literacy department. Dasara holidays are from October 3 to 16 in the district.

Dubai Airport hit by missile strike: Reports
Dubai: Reports have emerged claiming that Dubai International Airport has been hit by a missile amid rising tensions in the region.
Several videos claiming to be that from the Dubai Airport were being circulated online.
The claims surfaced shortly after emergency alerts were issued across the UAE warning residents and visitors of a potential missile threat and advising them to seek shelter.
However, there has been no official confirmation from UAE authorities regarding any strike on Dubai airport.
Details about possible damage or casualties remain unclear. Authorities are yet to release a formal statement on the reported incident.
