Decade Celebration of Melkar Women's PU College begins
Bantwal, Jan 03: The inauguration programme of the Mangaluru Education Enhancement Trust's Melkar Women's PU and Degree College's decade programme was held at it premises at Maranbail in Sajipa Munnur on Thursday.
MLA Rajesh Naik inaugurated the program by watering a plant. Later he said "over the past 10 years, the institution is indulged in providing quality and valuable education to rural girls. I wish this institution further grows and get recognition educationally."
AK Group of Companies MD AK Niaz, Abdul Samad CA, Abdul Aziz Advocate, Rifaz Ahmad were present on dais.
Mangalore Education Enhancement Trust Chairman SM Rasheed Haji briefed about the institution's journey and welcomed the gathering.

At least three dead, 58 injured in UAE since start of Iranian missile strikes
Abu Dhabi: At least three people have been killed and 58 others injured in the United Arab Emirates since Iran began its retaliatory missile campaign in the Gulf following US and Israeli attacks, authorities said.
In a statement, the UAE’s Defence Ministry said the country detected 165 ballistic missiles, of which 152 were destroyed. It also said two cruise missiles were intercepted.
The ministry added that a total of 541 Iranian drones were detected, and 506 of them were intercepted and destroyed.
According to the statement, the attacks resulted in the deaths of three individuals – one each from Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Further details about the condition of the injured were not immediately available.
