Mangaluru: Muslim Justice Forum on Monday lodged a complaint at the Pandeshwar Police Station against the man who uploaded a video making derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed on Facebook.
The accused who has been identified as Madhugiri Modi aka Atul Kumar had reportedly posted a video on his Facebook account making wherein he can be seen using abusive language and making derogatory remarks against the Prophet.
In its complaint the forum has asserted that the video was circulated on social media platforms to trigger Communal Hatred and disharmony in the region.
The complaint further stated that the video was in violation of the Constitution of the country and was a threat to the harmony and law and order in the region. It also demanded immediate arrest of Madhugiri and called for strict action under law against him.
Muslim Justice Forum DK President Dr. KS Amir Ahmed Thumbay, founder member Rafiuddin Kudroli, Secretary Wahab Kudroli, members Iqbal Samanige, Yusuf Ucchil, Imran Kudroli and others were present at the police station while filing the complaint.

Pune (PTI): NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, admitted to a hospital here with dehydration, was discharged on Wednesday morning, with doctors saying he is doing fine.
The 85-year-old Rajya Sabha member was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on Sunday following complaints of dehydration.
"He is doing well. He has been given discharge, and he has already left for Mumbai. He has been advised to take rest for the next couple of days before resuming his normal routine," said Dr Purvez Grant, the chief cardiologist, chairman and managing trustee of the private hospital.
Earlier, the former Union minister was admitted to the same hospital on February 9 following a chest infection and was discharged on February 14.
