Kundapura, June 16: Bearys Green Avenue, an eco-friendly apartment from Bearys Group would be inaugurated at Koteshwara on June 17 at 10 am.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Bearys Group chairman Syed Muhammad Beary said that the seven storied apartment has 1.10 lakh sq ft area and 62 flats. The apartment constructed with a novel design and features was given Indian Green Building Council (IDBC) Platinum certification before its official inauguration. It is not enough to have just money to construct such an eco-friendly building. Most importantly, one should have time and patience, he said.
The entire building is installed with LED bulbs, for which solar power will be used. Rain harvesting system is also incorporated while constructing the building with an intention of preserving it, for which 18 wells were constructed. The used water will be processed and reused for garden, for which a separate tank is constructed. It is zero discharge building. Water will not go out of this building, he said.
Urban Development and Housing Minister UT Khader, Kundapura MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty, Kota Janata Fisheries President Anand Kundar, Kundapur Prabhakar Tiles Works partner Prakash T Soans, Koteshwara Gram panchayat president Janaki Billava will be present during the inaugural programme , he said.
Bearys Group Green Initiative General Manager Ramesh Sutar, civil general manager Eshwaran, land owner Sulaiman, architect Iqbal, Group's director Siddiq Beary, senior journalist ASN Hebbar and Ashraf Beary were present at the press conference.

ISLAMABAD: At least two more cases of poliovirus were reported in Pakistan, taking the number of infections to 52 so far this year, a report said on Friday.
“The Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health has confirmed the detection of two more wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases in Pakistan," an official statement said.
The fresh infections — a boy and a girl — were reported from the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
“Genetic sequencing of the samples collected from the children is underway," the statement read. Dera Ismail Khan, one of the seven polio-endemic districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has reported five polio cases so far this year.
Of the 52 cases in the country this year, 24 are from Balochistan, 13 from Sindh, 13 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one each from Punjab and Islamabad.
There is no cure for polio. Only multiple doses of the oral polio vaccine and completion of the routine vaccination schedule for all children under the age of five can keep them protected.
