Mangaluru, November 28: Managing trustee of Farangipete Sevanjali Foundation, Krishna Kumar was given the Rajyotsava Award. He would receive the award at Ravindra Kala Kshetra in Bengaluru on Thursday. Through Sevanjali Foundation, he has been doing various social services in Health, Education, Religious and other sectors.
He was an employee of Vijaya Bank and got voluntary retirement in 2001 and involved himself in social service. For the last 20 years, he has been conducting free health check up camps, 99 blood donation camps, Eye check up camps, Dental check up camps, Scholarships to poor students, Insurance scheme under Janashree Insurance scheme and other services.
He has been encouraging the art and cultural activities. He has got various other awards for his service. Now, the state government has given him the Kannada Rajyotsava award for this year.

UAE issues fresh emergency alert, says situation currently safe
Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Residents and visitors across the United Arab Emirates received a fresh emergency alert on their mobile phones stating that the situation in the country is currently safe.
The message, issued by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), thanked people for their cooperation and reassured them that conditions were stable.
“Thank you for your cooperation. We reassure you that the situation is currently safe. You may resume your normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take the necessary precautions, and to follow official instructions. (MOI),” the alert read.
The notification was sent in both Arabic and English through the country’s emergency alert system.
The advisory comes after earlier alerts warning of potential missile threats amid rising regional tensions. Authorities have urged the public to stay cautious and follow official guidance.
