First coronavirus case in Udupi: 34-year old man who came from Dubai, tests positive
Udupi: In what is reported to be the first instance in Udupi District a 34-year old man on Wednesday tested positive for COVID-19 here in the District.
The person has been identified to be a resident of Manipal in Udupi District and reportedly arrived from Dubai on March 18.
The patient reported to hospital with fever on March 23, following which the samples of his throat swabs were collected and were sent for testing. The reports of the test arrived on Wednesday testing positive for the deadly virus, Udupi DHO confirmed.
