Mangaluru: Taking a strict note of active vehicular movement in the city despite the lockdown announced by the District Administration, DK Deputy Commissioner, Sindhu B Rupesh on Monday warned people against violating the lockdown instructions.

In an official statement Sindhu added that strict action will be taken against those violating the instructions of administration.

She added that on Monday complaints were received about shops being opened and vehicular movement in the city despite the lockdown.

She further added that one-day curfew was not enough to contain the spread of Coronavirus and that once it starts spreading it will be an hectic job to control the spread, hence calling on people to take precautions and to consider the instructions seriously.

Hubbali: The charred remains of an unidentified individual, believed to be a man aged between 35 and 40, were found on the outskirts of Hubli, specifically along Karwar road. Authorities suspect foul play and are treating the case as a potential murder.
