Former MLA Gopal Bhandari paid last respect
Udupi: Woman and Children Welfare and district in-charge Minister Dr Jayamala paid her last respects to Karkala former MLA Gopala Bhandari who passed away on Thursday, at the Kissan Bhavan on Friday.
Former chief minister M Veerappa Moily, former Ministers Vinay Kumar Sorake, Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA Sunil Kumar, former MLA UR Sabhapati and others paid their respects to the departed soul.
The mortal remains of the former MLA were laid to rest at the auditorium of Hebri first grade college for paying tributes.

Supreme Court grants bail to MLA Vinay Kulkarni in Yogish Gowda murder case
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has granted bail to Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni in connection with the murder of BJP Zilla Panchayat member Yogish Gowda from Hebballi in Dharwad district.
A bench headed by Justice Sanjay Karol passed the order granting bail to Kulkarni.
Earlier, following the cancellation of his bail, Kulkarni had surrendered before the Special Court for MPs and MLAs. His recent bail plea had also been rejected by the High Court.
Subsequently, Kulkarni approached the Supreme Court, which has now granted him bail.
