Gambling : Seven arrested
Uppinangady, August 10: The local police arrested seven persons at Marjala on Friday on charges of involving in gambling.
The police recovered cash, vehicles and valuables worth Rs 2.31 lakh from the accused. The arrested were identified as Sundar Achari (35), Lakshman Achari (35), Sathish (40), Naveen (42), Adam(42), Iqbal (38), and Mohammad Shafi (23) of Tannirpanta village. Uppinangady police registered a case.

K’taka Govt. appoints additional 8 officers to SIT probing Prajwal Revanna sex scandal case
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government on Saturday announced that it has appointed 8 additional officers to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the alleged sex assault involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.
The newly appointed officers are SP C.A. Simon, PI Ravganesh Jarnadhan, CPI Sridhar B.S, ASI Allabaksha, Head Constable Saraswati, and Constables S.N. Mamata, Jafar Sadik, and Harish Babu. This decision follows the appointment of 18 personnel to the team last week, with ADGP BK Singh leading the investigation.
