Giants Group Udupi, TA Pai English Medium School, PTA organise Teachers Day celebrations
Udupi: Giants Group of Udupi, T A Pai English Medium High School, Kunjibettu and Parents Teachers Association of EMH Kunjibettu jointly organised teachers day celebrations in the school premises here on Thursday to mark Teachers Day.
Retired Headmaster of the school Gopalakrishna Rao was felicitated at the event. He also delivered the keynote address.
Giants Welfare Foundation's Central Committee member Dinakar K Amin and Laxmikant Beskoor of Udupi Group also addressed the event that was presided over by PTA President, Ashok Kumar Shetty.
School Headmaster, Manjunath introduced the guests while school teacher welcomed the event.
Ramesh Poojary, Unit Director, Yeshwanth DA, Ganesh Ural, Iqbal Manna VP, Rajesh Shetty, Jagadish Amin, Usha Ramesh, were present on the occasion.

Undertrial dies by suicide in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, May 6: A 26-year-old undertrial prisoner allegedly died by suicide while in judicial custody on Monday, police said.
Muhammad Noufal, hailing from Kerela, died by hanging.
According to police, he was hospitalised multiple times after displaying signs of mental depression.

He was undergoing treatment at the jail ward of Wenlock hospital here, they said.
Though he was lodged in the ward with other inmates, he managed to hang himself from the ceiling.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, they added.
