Heated argument between two construction workers result in murder of one in Udupi
Katpadi: Tragedy struck on the evening of June 17 when a heated altercation between two construction workers on the Katapadi-Shirva road turned fatal, resulting in the murder of one of the laborers. The victim, identified as Ganesh (50) from Orissa, succumbed to his injuries, while the accused remains at large.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out between Ganesh and the assailant at the construction site. The altercation quickly escalated, leading to severe injuries sustained by Ganesh. Locals and fellow workers rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he passed away on the way to hospital.
In response to the incident, Udupi SP Akshay Hawke Machindra, Additional SP Siddhalingappa, Karkala DySP Arvinda Kulagujji, Kapu Police Circle Inspector K.C. Poovaiah, and Kapu PSI Srishaila Muragoda visited the scene to conduct investigation.

Netanyahu recommends his Cabinet approve Hezbollah cease-fire proposal
Beirut, Nov 26: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced he will recommend a proposal for a cease-fire with Hezbollah to his Cabinet for approval, setting the stage for an end to nearly 14 months of fighting.
Netanyahu said the vote was expected later Tuesday. It was not immediately clear when the ceasefire would go into effect, and the exact terms of the deal were not released. The deal does not affect Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza, which shows no signs of ending.
