Honeytrap case in Kadaba: Team ‘attracts’, attacks, blackmails youth; one held
Kadaba: A youth from Mangaluru is suspected to have been honeytrapped by a team of Kadaba youngsters, after which, a suspect in the case was arrested by the police on Wednesday night.
It is learned that the team had opened a Facebook account in the name of a young lady. After succeeding in attracting the Mangaluru youngster using the fake identity, they called him to Kadaba late Tuesday night. They later took him to Kermayi Koriyar and assaulted him. The team also blackmailed the youth from Mangaluru, demanding money from him and threatening to get the matter of the ‘girl’ publicized on social media if he failed to pay, said sources.
The youngster is said to have informed the police of the matter with the help of a friend. The police, in turn, got the team assured that the Mangaluru youngster would pay the money himself. They even ensured that the team members were called to Kadaba to receive the payment, the sources added.
On learning of the presence of the police, however, two of the accused escaped from the place.
A youngster, who is a native of Mardala, is said to have fallen into the police trap.
The police, however, have provided no official information on the matter, said the sources.

Earlier, the news network, citing Bahrain’s Interior Ministry, had reported that several residential buildings were targeted in the incident.
The verified footage shows an Iranian drone hitting a tower in Manama.
A loud explosion is heard at the moment of impact, followed by a large fire and thick plumes of smoke billowing from the building.
