Kundapur: Two persons were killed and four others injured in a collision between a car and a canter on the National Highway near Navunda on Saturday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Mamata (36) and her daughter Drutika (14).
The injured include Mamata’s husband Raghu, a resident of Nelamangala, her daughter Jahnavi, and co-passengers Charvi and Kiran. The injured have been shifted to different hospitals for treatment.
According to reports, the family was travelling from Bengaluru to Udupi and was heading towards Gokarna when the accident occurred.
Byndoor police visited the spot and are investigating the case.
