Belthangady: The Belthangady Police, with the assistance of locals, intercepted an illegal cattle transport in Malavantige village and arrested four individuals on Thursday night. The police seized two pickup vehicles and five cattle.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Yathindra (24) from Periyadka, Chibidre village; Aravind (30) from Bendral, Thotathadi village; Usman (36) from Charmadi village; and Arif (27) from Chibidre village.

Acting on reliable information, the police conducted the operation on Elaneeru Didupe Road in Malavantige village, where two pickup vehicles carrying cattle were intercepted. During inspection, the authorities found that the accused did not possess valid permits for cattle transport. Subsequently, a case has been registered and the accused taken into custody.

New Delhi (PTI): A Leh-bound SpiceJet aircraft returned to the national capital due to an engine issue on Tuesday morning, according to a source.

There were around 150 people on board the Boeing 737 aircraft that was operating the flight SG121, the source added.

When contacted, a SpiceJet spokesperson said a flight operating from Delhi to Leh on Tuesday returned to Delhi after experiencing a technical issue.

"The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers were disembarked normally," the spokesperson said in a statement.

The source said the aircraft suffered an engine issue.
