At the “IDWA 2020 (INTERIOR DESIGN WOW AWARDS)” event, a program organized under the joint auspices of the Indian Design School and AK Group, the award for “Outstanding Residential Apartment Interior Project” was conferred on Inland Indoors, one of Karnataka’s leading Interior design companies.

The award was presented to Mr Meraj Yusuf Siraj by Ar Shamala Prabhu, one of the state’s best known architects and NEC member of IIID, in a glittering ceremony that took place at The Gateway Hotel, Mangalore on Friday, February 7.

The IDWA Awards has been jointly instituted by IDS (Indian School of Design) and Apply Ply. It selects the most distinguished achievers from among the state's outstanding interior design companies to recognise and honour them for their outstanding work in the field of interior design and execution. The awardees were selected after evaluation against several highly demanding criteria by a jury consisting of Ar. Namit Tandon and Ar. Pallavi Prakash, two of the country’s most celebrated architects.

Speaking to the media and fraternity, post the award cermony, Meraj Yusuf Siraj, Managing Partner of Inland Indoors said, “I am indeed delighted with this recognition that comes from two of the most respected organizations in the field of Interior Design that are known for their yeoman service to interior design in the state. Awards such as these will go a long way in motivating young people like me who take the challenging path of entrepreneurship. Interior Design is a fairly new concept in India. It is only recently that people have moved away from focusing on interiors as just furniture and fittings to the concept of making the interior of their office or home reflect their lifestyle or their business philosophy. Interior Design is evolving very rapidly even in small cities like Mangalore.  We as a company are very excited to be part of this dynamic field where intangibles like design and creativity are valued very highly. A lot of young talent is now coming into this field and we are very happy to nurture this talent in our company to give customers a wide range of interior solutions.” Meraj took the opportunity to thank his father, Siraj Ahamed, Chairman of the In-land Group, for his unwavering guidance and support as well as his entire team for their contribution in making Inland Indoors an award-winning organization.

Inland Indoors is part of the In-land Group, and specializes in design and execution of interior solutions ranging from budget packages to high-end specialized turnkey projects. In a short span of five years they have made rapid strides in the field and are today recognized as one of the top Interior companies in the state. Their impressive list of clientele range from prominent homes, villas & apartments to corporate offices, high-profile showrooms, restaurants, cafes, hotels, spas, gymnasiums and other commercial spaces. Inland Indoors has a unique system of planning and design which involves initial extensive meetings with clients to take their inputs, pinpoint scheduling and budgeting and rigorously supervised execution for delivering timely and high quality interior work. A combination of top class design talent and highly skilled workforce including supervisors and technicians at their offices in Mangalore and Bangalore have constantly pushed the benchmarks for exciting design and precision quality in the Interior industry.

In a short span of time, Inland Indoors has worked with some of the top builders in Karnataka for interior solutions for apartments and also with highly demanding clientele for office and commercial spaces.

“The future” says Meraj, “is filled with even more exciting times as new concepts and new material from across the world are introduced to Indian customers. You can be rest assured that Inland Indoors will be at the forefront of this coming Interior revolution.”

Pilibhit (PTI): A 19-day-old elephant calf, brought from Bijnor, was placed under care at the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR) on Sunday, an official said and added that the calf got separated from its mother in the forest area of Bijnor.

The calf was born on December 2 in the Bijnor forest area and got separated from its mother shortly after birth, the official said.

The forest department made several attempts to reunite it with its mother, but without any success. To ensure the calf's safety and better care, it was decided to transfer it to the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve on the instructions of senior officials.

On Saturday, Deputy Director Manish Singh received the calf. Special arrangements have been made in the reserve for its care. It has been kept in a safe and clean environment to provide it with a natural setting and protect it from external noise and disturbances.

Singh told reporters that raising an 19-day-old calf is challenging.

It requires a special diet as a substitute for mother's milk and constant monitoring.

He said a special team has been formed to provide 24-hour care. Since the calf is very young, it is being cared for like a newborn baby.

According to Singh, the primary responsibility for monitoring the calf's health has been entrusted to PTR's veterinarian, Dr Daksh Gangwar. Under his supervision, a complete record of the calf's health checkups, diet, and body temperature is being maintained. The team is ensuring that the calf does not contract any infection.
