Bajpe: The Third Additional Civil Court, Mangaluru, has stated that it will pass judgment on the mosque in Malali on November 9.

The mosque building should be retained in its present state, the court has indicated.

A local named Dhananjay and his five friends had approached the court alleging that the mosque building had been given the look of a temple while being renovated.

The lawyer who represented the administrative board of the mosque had argued that, as the mosque was Wakf property, the matter would have to be presented before the Wakf special court instead of a civil court. He had also requested the Court for a dismissal of the case.

After a hearing on the case, the Third Additional Civil Court had said that it would give its verdict on October 17.

Accordingly, during the hearing on Monday, the Court postponed its judgment, saying that it will declare on November 9.
