Kapu: Well collapsed due to incessant rain, poses a danger to house
Kapu, July 07: A well collapsed due to incessant rain at a village in Ucchila town due to the incessant rain lashing the coastal region.
The well that was located in front of one Safiya’s house at Pulya in Ucchila town collapsed late on Friday night. The incident has caused the loss of around Rs. three lakh. The collapsed well is posing a severe threat to the house as the well is located on the premises of the house. According to locals, the Safiya’s home may also fall into the well if the well does not get repaired soon.
The well was the primary source of drinking water for the 10-15 houses located around it. The low-income family is in need of financial assistance to repair the well.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
