Karkala: A 69-year-old resident of Bharat Beedi Colony in VC Road of Kabettu, who had left for Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh to attend the Kumbh Mela, is suspected to be missing.

The missing citizen, identified as Sudhakar, is learned to have left for Prayagraj by train on January 25, saying he would be visiting Varanasi to attend the Kumbh Mela. On the way, however, he reportedly called and informed his son Shivaprasad that his journey had gone off route as the train had changed.

On January 27, when Shivaprasad tried to call his father, the mobile phone was found to be switched off. As Sudhakar has not returned home so far, it is suspected that he has gone missing.
