Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court on Wednesday ordered an investigation against Chief Minister Yediyurappa in the ‘Operation Lotus’ case that was allegedly hatched to destabilize the JD(s)-Congress coalition government in the state last year.
An FIR was lodged against Yediyurappa alleging that he had lured JD(s) legislators to join his camp to destabilize the state government led by former CM HD Kumaraswamy.
Yediyurappa had filed a petition in the High Court for quashing the FIR. A bench headed by Justice John Michael D’Cunha dismissed the application and gave a go-ahead to the FIR to proceed with the probe.
