Kasaragod: 1.5 year old child dies after being struck by car in home veranda in Uppala
Manjeshwar: In a tragic incident, a 1.5 year old boy, Mastul Jishan, lost his life after being accidentally run over by a car on the veranda of his house in Sonkal, Uppala, on Sunday.
Jishan, son of Nisar, a resident of Kodange in Sonkal, was standing in the veranda when the unfortunate incident happened.
The incident reportedly unfolded as Jishan's uncle was maneuvering the car forward inside the veranda, accidentally hitting the child. Jishan was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, however, succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a case in connection with the incident has been registered at the Manjeshwar Police Station.

Bantwal: SSLC student dies after electrocution
Bantwal: A 15-year-old boy died after coming into contact with an electric wire in Gadiara village on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shaheer, son of Sharif, a resident of Neralakatte.
Shaheer, an SSLC student at Mountain View English Medium School, Puttur, had gone to his grandfather’s house in nearby Gadiara village during the school holidays. He came into contact with an electric wire and died at the scene.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, two sisters, and family members.
