Kota: On the night of September 1, a tragic incident occurred near a lake here when a farmer lost his life after accidentally falling into the water while attempting to operate a pump set in his field.
The deceased has been identified as Babu Shetty, aged 61, and a resident of Sakkatu Hoigebailu in Shiriyar village. According to reports, he had gone to the field near the lake to access water through a pump set. Tragically, his foot slipped, causing him to fall into the water, leading to his untimely demise.
Local police have registered a case regarding the incident at the Kota Police Station.
