Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District in-charge minister Kota Shrinivas Poojary on Thursday afternoon added that the COVID lockdown in the state will be extended for another week after June 14.

The current lockdown that is in place in the district was supposed to end on June 14 will now be extended for another week.

Poojary was speaking to reporters after attending meeting with CM along with in-charge ministers and DC’s of eight districts including Belagavi, Chikkamagaluru, Hasan, Mysuru, Mandya, Shimoga and Tumkuru along with Dakshina Kannada.

During the meeting, Poojary said he has requested the CM to consider extending lockdown in the district for another week after June 14.

New Delhi (PTI): A Leh-bound SpiceJet aircraft returned to the national capital due to an engine issue on Tuesday morning, according to a source.

There were around 150 people on board the Boeing 737 aircraft that was operating the flight SG121, the source added.

When contacted, a SpiceJet spokesperson said a flight operating from Delhi to Leh on Tuesday returned to Delhi after experiencing a technical issue.

"The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers were disembarked normally," the spokesperson said in a statement.

The source said the aircraft suffered an engine issue.
