Madikeri: Excise officials who were going for inspection of illegal liquor sale in Siddapur in Aloor fight each other on road. Now this case has knocked police station.
Verbal altercation over an inspection erupted between Excise Inspector Nataraj and PSI Shivanna soon after Sub-Inspector (Excise) Shivappa had come to the same place. Not only that, but the duo used derogatory words against each other and indulged in a physical fight, after which both the officers have been arrested. Meanwhile, a driver Manohar also assaulted aShivanna. The public has captured this street fight of the authorities on their mobile phones and made it viral.
Shanivarsante police have registered a case in this regard. Kodagu District Excise Commissioner Bindushree, who has been investigating the incident, has informed the higher authorities and recommended action against the officers.a

SRH beat CSK by 10 runs
Hyderabad (PTI): Nitish Kumar Reddy and Eshan Malinga shared five wickets between them as hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs in their IPL match here on Saturday.
Defending 195, Hyderabad restricted struggling CSK to 184 for eight. CSK have crashed to fourth defeat in six matches.
Abhishek Sharma (59) and Heinrich Klaasen (59) took CSK to 194 for nine with their splendid batting. For CSK, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj picked up three wickets apiece while Mukesh Choudhary bagged two.
