Farangipet: A 45-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a train on Thursday morning at Ammemar in Pudu village of Bantwal Taluk today.
The deceased has been identified as Farooq, a resident of Ammemar. Farooq, an employee of the Mangalore port, met with the accident while going for work today morning.
It has been suspected that the victim had accidentally come in contact with the train while crossing the track. Later, the passersby rushed him to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The deceased is survived by two daughters and two sons.
