Mangaluru: 34-YO man who sustained critical injuries in road accident on Tuesday, dies in hospital
Mangaluru: A 34-year old man who sustained critical injuries in a road accident of Tuesday morning near Adka breathed his last in a private hospital in Mangaluru on Wednesday early morning.
Mohammed Shareef (34), a resident of Arikkadi, was on his way to home with his wife Muneera (19) from her house when a pickup van hit their two wheelers injuring bother Shareef and Muneera. The husband and wife duo were rushed to hospital in Mangaluru for treatment where Shareef succumbed to his injuries on early Wednesday morning.
Muneera is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
A case in this regard has been registered at Kumbale Police Station.

Yogish Goudar murder case: Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni, 16 others sentenced to life imprisonment

Bengaluru: A special court for people’s representatives has sentenced Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni and 16 others to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of BJP leader Yogish Goudar.
The verdict was delivered by judge Santhosh Gajanana Bhat. The court had earlier, on Wednesday, held all 17 accused guilty of murdering Goudar, while reserving the quantum of punishment.
On Friday, the court pronounced the sentence, awarding life imprisonment to all the convicted persons in the case.
Yogish Goudar, a BJP member from the Hebballi Zilla Panchayat constituency in Dharwad district, was murdered in 2016.
