Mangaluru: 59.67% voters turn out recorded for MCC Election
Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Coporation (MCC) Elections on Tuesday witnessed a 59.67% voter turnout during the polling for 60 wards of the MCC’s jurisdiction.
Of 3,94,894 registered voters 2,35,628 voters casted their vote on Tuesday. 1,12,084 male voters turned out to vote while 1,22,527 women also casted their votes.
The MCC has 1,199,989 registered male voters along with 1,87,465 women voters. It also has 63 voters in ‘others’ category.
The election of the result is scheduled to be announced on November 14. 180 candidates were in the fray to contest the election from 60 wards.

Over 270 flights delayed, 10 cancelled at Delhi airport
New Delhi (PTI): At least 10 flights were cancelled and more than 270 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport due to fog and low visibility conditions on Tuesday.
An official said 6 arrivals and 4 departures have been cancelled for the day.

Over 270 flights have been delayed and the average delay time for departures is 29 minutes, as per information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
"Visibility at the airport is improving; however, flight departures for certain destinations may experience delay," Delhi airport operator DIAL said in a post on X.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital handles around 1,300 flight movements daily.
