Bearys knowledge campus (BIT, BEADS and BIT polytechnic) celebrated Independence day 2022 in a sensitizing way. Also to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15th August 2022, this day reminds every indian about the beginning of the era of deliverance from the cluches of British colonialism of 200 years. Principal of BIT, Dr.S I Manjur Basha welcomed the gathering. He reminded us the sacrifices of many freedom fighters who laid down their lives for this cause. The hoisting of the National Flag was done by the Chief guest and Principals of BIT, BEADS and BIT Polytechnic.
The chief guest of the event was Dr.B. Ismail , Professor and Head, Department of Statistics, Yenepoya University, Mangalore.
In his speech Dr.Ismail told to contribute significantly in the field of Education, Agriculture, Science and Technology.He also stated that we need to introspect, what we have contributed for the progress of this country.
He concluded by saying the freedom of mind is the real freedom a person and “we want deeper sincerity of motive, a greater courage in speech and earnestness in action."
On this occasion Ar. Ashok Mendonca, Principal BEADS and Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Director of BIT polytechnic shared their thoughts on Indian independence.
The program concluded with distribution of prizes to the various competitions held. The event was witnessed by faculties and students of BIT, BEADS and BIT polytechnic.
