Mangaluru: In another incident reported from railway tracks near Thokottu, one person died on Friday after being hit by a moving train here. This is the third similar incident reported since October.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Basheer (40), a resident of Chembugudde.

Deceased Basheer was reportedly a painting worker and was returning from mosque on Friday when the incident took place. Basheer’s body was identified as his mobile phone was recovered from the pocket.

Railway Police has registered a case in this regard.
