Mangaluru: Asswuffah Foundation’s Daarusswuffah Centre of Excellence inaugurated
Mangaluru: As-Swuffah Foundation Mangaluru's Daaru Swuffah Centre of Excellence was inaugurated on Friday at the basement level of HH Diamond City here in the city.
The Centre was inaugurated by Sayyid Fazal Koyamma Thangal Koorath.
Sayyid Fazal Koyamma Thangal Koorath addressed the gathering and formally inaugurated the Centre of Excellence.
Vice Chairman of As-Swuffah Foundation, Haji Mohammad Ameen welcomed the inaugural ceremony, while Chairman Rasheed Saadi also addressed the event.
Haji Mumtaz Ali, P Mohammed Boliyar Ustaad also spoke during the ceremony.
The event began with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Mubasshir Hussain.
Shakir Haji Kannur, Delta Infralogistics Limited's Managing Director Ahmed Mohiddin, Safwan, HH Kunhi Ahmed Haji, Raheem Sultan Gold, Advocate Amir Afeef and others were present during the event. Asheer Ustad compered the event.
The courses and activities the Centre will offer include Nurture (English Medium Madrasa 1-7th Standard), Sparkle (3 years Shariath Course for ladies), Bloom (2 years diploma for girls), Thrive (2 years diploma for boys), Navigate (Daily class for youngsters), Weekly classes for ladies, and various Islamic conferences and gatherings.
The highlights of the Centre include English syllabus, qualified faculties, digital learning, spacious air-conditioned classrooms and extracurricular activities.
The Centre is also Mangalore’s first modern Centre for Islamic studies.

Mangaluru: Bajpe police arrests young man for alleged derogatory posts against police
Bajpe: Police have arrested a youth for allegedly posting derogatory and defamatory content against the Bajpe police on social media.
The arrested accused has been identified as Abhishek M. (23), a resident of Katipalla, Surathkal.
According to the police, Abhishek posted a photograph of Bajpe Nisarga Hotel on his Instagram account mr_a_titude_22, alleging that accused persons in a murder case under the jurisdiction of the Bajpe police station were being treated “like royalty” by the police and were being served beef meals from the hotel every day. In his post, he further accused the police of colluding with criminals and misusing their authority, stating that public trust in the police was being betrayed.
Following which, the Bajpe police registered a case and arrested the accused.
Police records reveal that Abhishek is already facing multiple criminal cases. A case of murder, attempt to murder, assault and robbery has been registered against him at the Surathkal police station. At the same time, a robbery case has also been registered at the Kaup police station.
After his arrest, Abhishek was handed over to the custody of the CEN police for further investigation. He was later produced before a court, police said.
