Mangaluru, July 21 : Mangaluru CCB police arrested a person here on Sunday on charges of bringing ganja illegally from Kerala and trying to sell it here. The arrested is identified as Keshav Sanil of 5th block of Krishnapura.
Acting on a tip off, Ullala CCB police arrested him at Talapady toll gate. Police recovered 1.830 ganja, one mobile phone and a Hyundai car worth Rs 2.85 lakh from the arrested.
The accused has been purchasing ganja from a person in Kerala and selling it here. He was handed over to Ullala police for further investigation.
The arrested has been facing attempt to murder case in Mulki police station, 12 cases including a murder, theft and ganja smuggling in Surathkal police station, murder attempt case in Panambur station and ganja smuggling in Karkala police station. Total he has been facing 15 cases, according to police.

Chikkamagaluru (Karnataka), Nov 1: Three people sustained minor injuries as they fell down due to the slippery route because of rain when they were on the way to Deviramma hill temple here, a police officer said on Friday.
All three of them sustained minor injuries and were discharged after first aid, Vikram Amathe, Superintendent of Police (Chikkamagaluru) told PTI.
According to him, a large number of people climbed up the hill shrine to have darshan of the Goddess.
"Because of rain, the route has become slippery. Only three people were injured as they slipped while climbing," Amathe said.
The injured were immediately shifted via ambulance and given necessary first-aid, he said.
Also, two women had fallen unconscious because of fasting on October 30, he clarified.
According to him, the 24-hour darshan started on October 30 and went on till early morning of October 31.
