Mangaluru: JDS activists have expressed dissatisfaction over the missing of the Congress-JDS alliance party logo at the Congress election office, which has been opened following Lok Sabha election at an under construction building near Bendoorwell in the city.

As per the Congress-JDS alliance, Congress candidate is contesting from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency and JDS is supporting the Congress candidate.

During the inauguration of the election office, banners and photos of JDS leaders, including of HD Devegowda, HD Kumaraswamy and had emerged. But then they went missing.

Now a banner, with the alliance candidate Mithun Rai's photo has been mounted at the election office. But, it contain neither JDS' name, it's leader's photos, nor it' logo. Instead, the banner contains only Congress logo and candidate's photo.

This has caused dissatisfaction among the JDS workers.

Kolkata (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four public meetings across West Bengal on Sunday as the BJP intensifies its campaign ahead of the 2026 assembly elections.

Modi is scheduled to begin his tour with a rally in Bishnupur in Bankura district before heading to Purulia, Jhargram and then Medinipur, where he will address successive public meetings.

The rallies assume significance as the BJP seeks to consolidate its support base in the western and south-western districts of the state, regions where the saffron party had put up a strong performance in previous Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

The elections to the 294-member West Bengal assembly will be held in two phases -- on April 23 and 29. Votes will be counted on May 4.
