Mangaluru: Electric short circuit causes fire incident at SSLC exam center at Ullal
Mangaluru: In an incident reported on Monday morning fire erupted at one of the examination centers for SSLC students here in Ullal. The incident was reported from Hira School, Babbukatte here.
According to the reports, all the students were evacuated from the center on time by the officials of the school and no casualties or injuries were reported during the incident.
The fire is suspected to have caused due to an electric short circuit at the lab of school.
Fire brigade team and local police officials reached the spot and doused the fire. Later, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Shashikumar and senior MESCOM officials visited the spot.

5.2-magnitude quake jolts Manipur
Imphal/Shillong (PTI): Manipur was struck by an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The quake occurred at 5.59 am with its epicentre located in Kamjong district, they added.
Tremors were felt in neighbouring Ukhrul district and state capital Imphal, and even Meghalaya but no casualty or damage has been reported so far.
