Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Congress Committee on Sunday, released the party manifesto at the District’s party office here in the city led by the District Election In-charge of the party and former minister Ramanath Rai.

The 30 points party manifesto includes promises like cleansing salt water from Arabian Sea and converting it to drinking water while making it available 24x7 for the people of district. The list further includes setting up of High Court Division Bench in Mangaluru, establishment of the National Maritime Fisheries Center in the district, protection of the constitutional rights of the backward classes, expansion of the local train from Puttur Station to Kukke Subramanya among others.

Former minister K.Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA JR Lobo, Shakuntala Shetty, KPCC Vice President Prof. Radhakrishna, party leader Mehruz Khan, AC Vineyaraj, A. Mohammed Haneef, Sadashiva Ullal and others were present during the manifesto releasing event at the party’s District office.

Belthangady: Khazi Shaikhuna Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar of Dakshina Kannada District handed over the keys of a renovated house to the family of the late Ramalan Azhari during a program organized by the Dakshina Kannada District Janiyyatul Muallimin on Thursday at Kajur Perdadi Ajmer Khaja Juma Masjid.

The event was presided over by District Janiyyatul Muallimeen President Shansuddin Darimi Pammale Madannur, with Secretary Muhammad Navi Mundole welcoming the attendees. Engineer Muhammad Twahir Bangerakatte was honored on the occasion for his commendable efforts in renovating the house.
