Mangaluru: Four arrested for selling ganja
Mangaluru: The police have arrested four men who were allegedly selling cannabis near Urwa Marigudi in the city on Sunday.
The arrested have been identified as Mahesh alias Macha (24), a resident of CPC Compound near Modern Rice Mill; Ritesh alias Ritu (20), a resident of Bokkapatna Road; Sudarshan M (24), a resident of Urwa Longlane area. Ashok Nagar PK compound’s Ritesh (21).
The police, who conducted the raid based on specific information, have seized 1.5 gm cannabis, four mobile phones, and cash.
City Police Commissioner T.R. Suresh, DCPs Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashanth and ACP Uday Nayak, Urwa police station inspector and staff participated in the operation.
Urva police have registered a case.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
