Mangaluru: Man booked for posting derogatory post against Islam, Muslim Women
Mangaluru: Pandeshwar (Mangaluru South) Police on Saturday booked one person for posting derogatory post against Islam and Muslim women on social media.
In a complaint registered at Pandeshwar Police Station, it is stated that the audio message that went viral on social media is aimed at instigating communal disharmony in the region.
The complaint was filed against a person named Vikram Dash also known as Vikky.
Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) also demanded strict action against Vikram. SDPI leaders Wajid and Suhail also added that the audio message insulting Islam and Muslim Women was aimed at spreading communal violence in Dakshina Kannada District.

Congress MLC Abdul Jabbar suspended from primary membership of party
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar has passed an order suspending Member of the Legislative Council Abdul Jabbar from the primary membership of the party.
Shivakumar, who is also Deputy Chief Minister, has stated in his order that the MLC is to be suspended with immediate effect.
Jabbar is said to have been suspended for his alleged anti-party activities during the by-election to the Davanagere South Assembly constituency.
