Mangaluru: City’s Economic and Narcotics Police in a joint operation with CCB, arrested a man with 260g of Ganja from Valencia, here on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Preetam J (30), a resident of Ujjodi of Valencia in Mangaluru.

The accused was reportedly selling the drugs in a public place on Wednesday, when he was nabbed by the cops.

Police recovered 260 grams of Ganja, a two-wheeler and Mobile Phone which have been estimated to be of worth Rs. 90,220/-.

Economic and Narcotics Police Inspector, Ramkrishna K. R, CCB Inspector Shantaram, CCB PSI Kabbal Raj and personnel of both the police teams were part of the operation.

Tehran: Iran has reportedly declared 40 days of public mourning following the killing of the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Al Jazeera reported citing Iranian state media.

According to the report, Fars News Agency said the Iranian government has announced 40 days of nationwide mourning in the wake of Khamenei’s killing. The agency also reported that seven days of public holidays have been declared.
